Your Morning Coffee Could Pay a Farmer Instantly—Here’s How

Your Morning Coffee Could Pay a Farmer Instantly—Here’s How

What if the coffee in your cup could send money straight back to the farmer who grew it—before you even take your first sip?

That’s exactly what Kooky Koffee is in the process of building: a way for your morning brew to instantly support the people who grew it. Through real-time revenue sharing, every bag you buy in Vancouver could put money in a Kenyan farmer’s hands within seconds.

From once a year to real time

Until now, we’ve shared 5% of every sale with our partner farmers in Kenya at the end of our fiscal year—an extra payment on top of what we pay for their green beans. It’s part of our long-standing commitment to fairness, transparency, and reinvesting in the people behind your brew.

But we believe we can do better. So we’re in the process of creating a system that makes revenue sharing immediate. When you buy a bag of Kooky Koffee—whether at a local shop or online—5% of your payment will go straight to the farmer who harvested those beans. Not next month. Not next year. That moment.

The tech behind the taste

Here’s how it works: we’re integrating blockchain technology with mobile payment systems so each purchase triggers an instant transfer. Farmers will receive their share through a secure crypto wallet linked to their mobile number, which they can cash out via M-Pesa in Kenya.

And for you, the customer? You’ll be able to track your impact—seeing how much you’ve contributed over time and which communities you’ve helped support.

Beyond “farm-to-cup”

We’ve all heard terms like “ethically sourced” or “farm-to-cup.” But what if buying a $20 bag of coffee meant $1 went directly into a farmer’s hands within seconds—and you could watch it happen?

Money isn’t just currency—it’s a message. It says we value the hard work and dedication of farmers. With Kooky Koffee, every purchase becomes a vote for fairness, innovation, and a more human way to do business. When you know where your money goes, your coffee tastes better.
